    Charles “Chuck” Valentine Komon, age 65, of Britton passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at his home. He was born October 27, 1942, in Detroit to Charles and Anne (Prochaska) Komon. He was married to Marilyn Gerych. Chuck graduated from St. Elizabeth’s Catholic School in 1956 and then from Britton-Macon School in 1960. He then went on to play basketball at Adrian College.       Gary Reed Whisman, age 53, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008. He was born March 6, 1955, in Jackson, the son of Worley and Alice (Heckaman) Whisman.         Carmen L. Chapman, 81, of Adrian died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008. She was the former owner of Moto Day and Pretty Women. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Olga Johnson; her husband, Charles Chapman (former owner of Charlie’s), and a daughter, Cindy Chapman.           Floyd C. Braun, 76, of Hudson, Mich., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at his home. He was born on June 9, 1932, in Decatur, Ind., to Martin G. and Margaret M. (Kriegel) Braun. He married Carolyn King on Jan. 3, 1959, in Decatur, and she survives.             Walter E. Teeter, 86, of Morenci, Mich., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at his home. He was born June 5, 1922, in Belding, Mich., the son of Carl Byron and Nina (Andrews) Teeter. He married Mildred Manning in 1946, and she preceded him in death in 1988.               Floyd C. Braun, age 76, of Hudson passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial for Floyd will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson. He was born on March 17, 1932, to Carl and Beulah (Rowe) Henkel, the third of four sons. He was a 1950 graduate of Tecumseh High School, where he played football and baseball, and showed significant aptitude in mathematics.
